Breaking News:----Ulster Inter County

Ireland’s Pub Players 8Ball Pool Tour will be staging there first ever Ulster Inter County 8Ball Team Championship on the tour taking place in Mahon’s Hotel on Saturday 22nd November 2008 with the All Ireland U-19 8Ball Championship taking place on the Friday 21st and the All Ireland Open 8Ball Championship played on the Sunday 23rd November 2008.…….

These prestigious tournaments will be played on 8 supreme pool tables and 90% confirmed at the minute will be shown live on the Internet…………..Listed below is some brief details that players should take note off…….



Information:

1. All the weekend tournaments listed will be played to world rules, with the skill shot added in all events …

2. All rules which are used on Ireland’s Pub Players 8-Ball Pub Tour will be put in place for this weekend of pool.

3. All Inter County 6-Aside Teams must be pre-entered on or before Monday 17th November 2008.….(limited entry)

The All Ireland Junior and Open 8Ball Championship must be pre-entered on or before Thursday 20th November 2008.



Number of County Teams:

Some Inter County teams has a bigger amount of players to pick from than others so we’re opening up this Ulster Inter County Team Championship event to a maximum of three 6-aside teams per county………..This Inter County Event is also open to junior or ladies team that would like to enter but they will have to compete against the men’s teams with the same entry fee taking place……..

The following counties has confirmed the following county teams………

Donegal -------3 teams

Tyrone --------3 teams + 2 junior teams

Derry / Londonderry ------1 team

Antrim --------1 team

Down ------1 team

Armagh -------1 team

Fermanagh ------1 team

Monaghan ------1 team

Cavan -----1 team

NOTE:-------if it happens there is enough junior and ladies teams we will organise there own event…



Entry Fees:

Each tournament will have £5 or 7.50 euros registration per player deducted from the entry fee which is stated for all tournaments to cover all costs on running this prestigious event….this is the same rule on entry fees used on Ireland’s Pub Players 8-Ball Pool Tour which can be viewed on the tours official website by clicking on the 8ball link on the left-hand-side at www.rballsports.com ……All £15 (open individual), £10 (junior individual) and £100 (inter county team event) will be paid out in prize-money for each tournament category….



Individual Tournaments Dress Code:

All tournaments played under Ireland’s Pub Players 8-Ball Pool Tour will have the following dress code

(a). any kind of casual / dress / polo shirt with a collar.

(b). black dress trousers.

(c ). proper dress shoes.



Inter County Team Event Dress Code:

All Inter County 6-Aside 8-Ball Teams must wear the same dress code as there team mates as all teams will receive bonus 6-points for the proper dress code being in place which is as follows…….

(a). all team members must wear the same team shirts, same design, same colour, polo or dress shirts “BUT KNOW MIXING”

(b). all team members must wear black dress trousers…..(know black jeans, canvas trousers or cords)….

(c ). black dress shoes.



Note:

The six bonus points which each team receives for proper dress code is very simple…..

(a). if all team members wears the proper inter county team dress code they receive 6 bonus points.

(b). if any team hasn’t the proper inter county team dress code in place they don’t receive 6 bonus points.

(c ). if any inter county team doesn’t receive the 6 bonus points could mean they mightn’t qualify from the round robin groups…

(d). the 6 bonus points rewarded to all teams for proper dress code will be used in the round robin groups.



Eligible:

Any player can play for any of the Ulster Counties listed as long he’s from either Donegal, Tyrone, Derry, Antrim, Down, Armagh, Fermanagh, Monaghan and Cavan but once he or she plays for that county they can’t play for any other county team in this event….



Bed & Breakfast:

Tyrone Pool Association had 5 teams at the finals, a men’s team, ladies team and three junior teams with the best performance coming from Tyrone Junior A team who was defeated in the final by Louth on a 10-9 score-line…….

Packie Donnelly £1,000 Memorial Darts Tournament:

Over 70 players from throughout Ireland travelled to the little village of Dromore in Co. Tyrone on Saturday past for the 3rd annual Packie Donnelly Memorial Individual Darts Tournament all chasing the £1,000 prize-money with the winner receiving £500 and the perpetual cup but it was Cavan’s Aodhagan O’ Neill who was crowned champion come Saturday evening with a fantastic display of darts throughout the day defeating Campbell Jackson 5-1 in the final in front of the large crowd……
