Basildon Bomber Is Crowned 2007
All Ireland Under-21 Champion
England’s Tony Burton or other
wards known to his mates as the Basildon Bomber travelled across the Irish
sea to be crowned 2007 Avalon Print All Ireland Under-21 9Ball Champion at
his first attempt defeating his good friend Matt Lawrenson in the final 10-6.……

The 19 year-old English cueist
who has achieved other major success at junior level such as the northern
& southern junior championship and twice runner-up in the British junior
championship has now added another high profile junior title to his CV when
he collected the 2007 Avalon Print All Ireland Under-21 9Ball Championship,
Ireland’s biggest under-21 event…..

The Basildon Bomber overcame a
host of top junior pool players from Ireland, England and Scotland on route
to be crowned 2007 champion starting it all of in the last-32 with a 8-7 victory
over N. Ireland’s 8ball international Lee Hull (Derry) and followed that up
with further results over Nathan Todd (Tyrone, 8-3), Daniel Gorman (Antrim,
8-3), Chris Frazier (Scotland, 9-6) before defeating his team-mate and good
friend Matt Lawrenson in the final……..
