Shaun
Donnelly who hails from Lurgan, Co. Armagh created two pieces of history for
himself in Belfast at the weekend by winning his first official ranking tournament
on Ireland’s American 8 & 9 Ball Pool Tour defeating a host of top players
along the way and becoming the first winner of the new Ireland’s 9Ball Challenge
Tour organised by Ireland’s American 8 & 9 Ball Pool Tour which is open
to all players from throughout the 32 counties of Ireland except the players
who compete on Ireland’s 9Ball Pro Tour …….

This
was a great achievement from the Co. Armagh pool player who also plays on
Ireland’s Pub Players 8Ball Challenge Tour (reds & yellows) and who is
terrific player on the green baize and a great supporter of both tours defeating
top players along the way to victory which included Alan Crowe (Donegal),
Jordan Gorman (Belfast), Paul Cherrie (Lisburn) before overcoming the challenge
of Fermanagh’s Shaun Ingram (Lisnaskea) in a entertaining final which when
right down to the wire with the match sitting at 9-9 with the Lurgan player
potting the 9ball of the break to claim his first Ireland’s 9Ball Challenge

All players are reminded that players taking part in tournaments Pro-Tour,
Challenge Tour and all Open Events must wear the tours dress code which is
set in place by the tour organisers or they won't be able to receive any prize-money
or go through to the next round of any tournament…..........
TOURNAMENT
ENTRY:
The players and the tournament organisers at the weekends event agreed at
a meeting which was held, if any player enters any tournament and doesn't
turn up on Ireland's American 8 & 9Ball Pool Tour in 2009 they must pay
their entry fee for that tournament before they can enter, or their name is
accepted for any other tournament .......……
These outstanding entry fees will be added to the prize-money for the next
tournament they enter with all outstanding entry fees paid in full at leased
one week in advance to the tournament organisers before they enter any other
event or go into any draw.........……..this rule applies to everyone and NO
EXCEPTIONS will be given to any player..........
