day to claim the 2009 N. Ireland Open 8Ball
Pool Championship title defeating the 2008 champion and current N. Ireland
international Manny Byrne (Down) in the final on a 6-2 score-line………..

cueist went into this annual tournament hosted by Ireland’s Pub Players 8Ball
Pool Tour as the number 6 seed and played some fantastic pool throughout the
day recording victories over the following players on route to victory Mark
Moore (Donnegal, last-32, 5-0), Daryl Beattie (Tyrone,
last-16, 5-2), Cathal Mc Erlane
(Tyrone, ¼-finals, 5-3), Damien Corrigan (Tyrone, semi-finals, 5-1) before
defeating the 2008 N. Ireland Open 8Ball Champion Manny Byrne (Down) 6-2 to
win his first official ranking tournament on Ireland’s Pub Players 8Ball Pool

N. Ireland Under-19 Champion defeating a host of good players much older than
himself which included Irish 8Ball International Ben Mc Moran in the final
on a 6-5 score-line......

Ireland’s Pub Players 8Ball Pool Tour held its first ever Challenge Tour Event
which is limited to 32 players open to all players throughout the 32 counties
with £800 up for grabs in each of the five events with the winner receiving
£350.…..

Paul Heaney, Sean Hoey and Ronnie Boyle in the final
